Mesa Police Officer Shawn Freeman's Accusations of Lying Under Oath Demand a Review of Past Cases

A Mesa police officer is facing serious allegations of perjury, with claims that he has lied under oath on numerous occasions both on and off duty. This situation puts at risk various cases that are linked to arrests or warrants authored by Officer Shawn Freeman, raising significant concerns about the integrity of the judicial process in Mesa, Arizona.

In light of these troubling allegations, prosecutors in Maricopa County Arizona, are urged to dismiss any ongoing charges associated with Officer Freeman. Furthermore, a thorough examination of past cases that relied on his reports or warrants is essential to ensure justice is upheld and to protect the rights of those affected by his actions.

The Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell and her junior district attorneys have been in possession of evidence demonstrating Officer Freeman lying in Court documents, lying under oath, filing false police reports, and making false statements in police reports and affidavits attached to applications for warrants. The Maricopa County Attorney has failed to take any action or properly investigate allegations of an Arizona Peace Officer committing crimes and violating his oath.

Freeman has received dozens of misconduct complaints including lying in police reports, domestic violence, failure to activate his body camera, unjustified shootings, filing false police reports, child abuse, assault, domestic battery, theft, fraud, excessive use of force, workers comp fraud, wage theft, harassment, stalking, fabricating an emergency, obstruction of justice, false arrest, witness intimidation, making false statements in affidavits for warrants, and more.
